"A lily of a day
Is fairer far, in May
Although it fall and die that night
It was the plant and flower of light."

"Daylilies and other perennials tie us
irrevocably to the cycles of nature
making us feel part of it as if we are
ourselves somehow in this endless cycle
of renewal rather than a casual
observer."-Patrick Stamile
Several thousand pots of
daylilies-- taken in peak bloom
July 2003
"Many times when a daylily is condemned as a
rotter it is the grower that is the executioner.
There are some rotters but not as many as folks
might tell you .If your soil is out of balance and
the plant can not process the nutrients, you can
fertilize it all you want to no avail. This is worth
what you paid for it, and remember, "Never look
a gift horse in the mouth".
"Never bid on blue Daylilies that have blue pine
bark in the background. "
